About the Founder

With over 15 years as a licensed hairstylist and a passion for hair care that began in 2001, my journey has always been centered around helping people achieve healthy, beautiful hair.

I started my career at a full-service salon known as The Braider, where I developed my foundation in natural hair care and braiding. In 2010, I earned my Hair Design license from Phagans School of Hair Design. Soon after, I was given the opportunity to work at JCPenney Salon, where I gained valuable experience, professionalism, and advanced technical knowledge in a structured salon environment.

From 2014 to 2016, I worked for a manufacturing company—an experience that unexpectedly became a turning point in my career. When one of my daughters began experiencing hair loss, her doctor prescribed a daily shampoo that stripped her hair of its natural oils. Drawing from both my hairstyling expertise and my manufacturing knowledge of beneficial hair care ingredients, I began researching scalp health and natural solutions for hair growth.

After extensive research, testing, and refining my own formula, I created a product that promoted healthy hair growth while helping relieve dry scalp and dandruff. I continued improving the formula by monitoring the health and growth of both of my daughters' hair. I knew I had created something special when they chose to throw away all of their other hair care products. 

In 2019, I proudly introduced my products to my clients under the brand Lil Mama—a name inspired by a childhood nickname given to me by a dear friend who sadly passed away just a few months after I began sharing my products with the world. The eye-catching Lil Mama logo was lovingly designed by my youngest daughter, making the brand even more meaningful to our family.

Today, I remain committed to creating high-quality hair care products that promote healthy hair and scalp wellness. As an innovative hairstylist and entrepreneur, I look forward to expanding the Lil Mama line and continuing to help individuals throughout my community achieve stronger, healthier, and more confident hair.
